Blankity-Blanks are similar to Mad Libs™ type activities for practicing parts of speech. Your students can complete them alone, with partners, or in groups. This bundle includes both the printable versions and the Google Slides for 40 Blankity-Blank stories.

This bundle includes 2 resources:

  • Blankity Blanks Original Set: Practice parts of speech with these 20 super fun, no-prep printables that can help review nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs!
  • Blankity-Blanks At Home Version: This set was created during the COVID-19 Crisis. Except for the last three, each of the 20 stories is about something that generally takes place at or near home. The focus is on family rather than friends and the wider community. COVID itself is never mentioned, and these will also work well after the crisis has ended.

Here’s what teachers are saying:

✏️ “This was a great way to get students to practice using different parts of grammar in a fun way. Students were engaged in the worksheet and read it to their partners afterward. I’m happy I purchased it.” -Sydnee

✏️ “I was surprised when I learned my students had never heard of “Mad Libs” before. Once I explained what to do they were so excited to do them and could not wait to share these with the class. I am using these to help reinforce parts of speech and DAZE/MAZE scores for DIBELS.” -Shannon T.

✏️ “My students LOVE these. If I don’t give them one on Fun Friday it’s full rebellion (I’m mostly kidding). And the best is that I’m “tricking” them into learning verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs.” -Lindsey B.
