I Love Coloring! – Reward Tag (Similar to Brag Tags) Coloring Pages | Printables

Elevate Reward Tags for older students by having them color and finish the tags themselves. This increases motivation and reinforces character traits. Includes 50 tags with positive traits to color. No need for laminating as students can use clear tape or contact paper.

Original price was: $6.98.Current price is: $5.98.

Description

Take Reward Tags to the next level with your older students. Rather than just receiving the tag, students take an active role by coloring and finishing the tag themselves! This will increase their “buy in” and motivation to attain the tags and reinforce the character traits on each one, as students will think about the words on the tags as they color.

There are 50 tags altogether, each with a different positive character trait and a unique background to color.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

✍️ PRINT:

  • 50 Reward Tags
    • prints 15 to a page

TIPS FOR USING THIS RESOURCE:

  • Print on card stock, if possible, for extra durability.
  • Your students will value them more if you don’t give out too many – maybe one or two a week per student. You can give a student the same tag more than one time. They can just color it differently.
  • Consider writing a quick note on the back to personalize the tag.
  • Well-sharpened, colored pencils work well. They are more forgiving than markers.
  • Consider setting up a Reward Tag supply area or center with colored pencils, packing tape on a dispenser or pre-cut contact paper rectangles, scissors, and a hole punch.
  • Reward Tags that have been given out are often kept on a necklace, but older kids may prefer a large binder ring. Necklaces or rings can be kept on hooks
  • Reward Tags that have not been given out can be kept in a plastic craft bin with many small compartments or in baggies or envelopes.

Because your students color the tags, there is no laminating for you! Instead, students “laminate” their own tags after coloring with either clear packing tape or contact paper. Saves you time and money, builds independence for your students.

Here’s what teachers are saying:

✏️ “These were crazy motivating for my 3rd graders. I printed on cardstock and then laminated. Students were able to color with sharpies as an early finisher activity. They proudly wore their brag tag lanyards and would invite their parents in to class to show them off.” -Janna C.

✏️ “I’ve been looking for Brag Tags to use with my 5th graders. My students enjoyed the chance to make the tags their own by coloring. Thanks for creating this resource!” -Heather R.

✏️ “I used these as daily rewards for the 15 days of summer school to encourage good attendance and build community. Most of my students enjoyed coloring them and then they covered them with contact paper that I had precut ahead of time. Thank you for this helpful product!” -Lori T.

These are beautiful and my kids love them. I homeschool so didn’t need full pages of each so I did a little copying and pasting to get all of them onto fewer pages. It worked well. I write on the back what my child did to earn each one and then “laminate” them with packing tape once they’ve colored them. Then they are a little keepsake.
