Description
Use these 32 multiple choice Idiom Task Cards to help your students learn the meanings of common idioms. In addition to the 32 cards, there is also a Challenge Card that can be used with every other card in the set to extend the activity. The Challenge Card requires students to write a short paragraph using the idiom on the card. A student answer sheet is included as well as an answer key so students can check their work. The multiple choice format make these cards great for test prep. Use at centers, in pairs or small groups or with your entire class using a game like Scoot.
Color and black line versions are both included. Simply print and cut along the guidelines. Laminate and use them again and again. Alternatively, you could print on card stock. It works well to keep them in a baggie. Another option is to hole-punch a corner of each card and put them all on a ring.
