Description
These 32 multiple choice cards to help your students understand the different types of informational text (nonfiction) features such as index, glossary, bold print, diagrams, maps, captions etc. In addition to the 32 question cards, there is also a Challenge Card that can be used with any other card in the set. The Challenge Card asks students to find an example of the text feature in a book from the classroom. A student answer sheet and answer key is also provided so students can check their work. The multiple choice format make these cards great for assessment and test prep. Use at centers, in pairs or small groups or with your entire class using a game like Scoot.
NOTE: The zip file includes two nearly identical sets of task cards. One set uses the term “informational text” for those using CCSS, while the other uses the term “nonfiction.” The content of the cards is the same. Use the set that works best for you.
