Description
Reading and understanding large numbers can be challenging, but these 32 multiple choice task cards can help. Each card features requires students to identify a large number in either written-out form or expanded notation. A student answer sheet and answer key is provided as well as a Challenge Card which can be used with any other card in the set for extended learning. Use these cards individually, at centers, in partners, small groups or at math centers. The multiple choice format makes them perfect for test prep.
The cards will look best in color, but will also print out fine in grayscale. Simply print and cut along the guidelines. Laminate and use them again and again. Alternatively, you could print on cardstock. It works well to keep them in a baggie. Another option is to hole-punch a corner of each card and put them all on a ring.
This resource targets the following Common Core Standard:
4.NBT.2. Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Also available in a money-saving Math Skills Bundle
