Description
Use these 32 Setting Task Cards to help students gain a deeper understanding of the setting story element and to practice their reading and inference skills. Each card features a short paragraph and one of these three multiple choice questions:
~Where does this take place?
~When does this take place?
~Which of these things would you be likely to see in this setting?
A student answer sheet and answer key is also included so that students can check their work. In addition, there is also a Challenge Card which can be used with any of the other cards to extend the activity. The Challenge Card asks students to justify their answers. These task cards will work well for test prep, reading strategy centers, partner work, or with the whole class using a game like Scoot.
