Description
FREE Nature Walk Activity – Fun Activity for Any Group of Kids or Adults! FREE
This activity will help kids to enjoy nature as they look for a different natural object for each letter of the alphabet. This would be great to use during the school year, for summer school, camp, with scout groups, and for homeschoolers. You could even use it with your family on a camping trip! With the digital option, you’ll have a keepsake of the awesome memories that are made!
There are two options for completing this activity:
1. Print the recording sheet and go! Students will write down or draw what they found under each corresponding letter. The goal is to fill in the whole chart!
2. Take photographs of what is found on the nature walk and import those pictures onto the digital Google Slides to have a fun memory of the activity. (Hint, have students bring the print copy with them so that they can check off objects as they find them.)
Can’t go on a nature hunt?
Well, just go on a digital hunt! Have student visit websites such as Discovery Kids and copy/paste images onto each slide!

This really encouraged students to make better observations and open their eyes to all the organisms that can be found on our school grounds!

We use this during our pretend camp unit at the end of the year. We are lucky enough to have property behind our school with a creek and forest. We go on a hike and use this resource. Thank you!
