If your students will be playing alone, they can just follow the directions in the upper left of each page. If your students will be playing in pairs, they can cut the left section after completing it and exchange it with their partner. When playing in groups, the leader will ask the other players for each of the parts of speech and fill in the blanks as they are given.
Here’s what teachers are saying:
✏️ “My class loves these Blankity Blanks. They choose them over Brain Breaks. We use them when we have a few extra minutes in our distance learning class or when we need to practice parts of speech. They ask me every day to use these. Little do they know, they are secretly practicing parts of speech and building their vocabulary. Pro tip: I do all of the nouns, then the adjectives, then the verbs then the adverbs. I let my students all type their ideas into the Google Chat. (They love typing in the chat.) I read all of their comments aloud and comment on their ideas. Then I choose words to go in the story that are strong and interesting.” -Kristen B.
✏️ “This requires no prep or effort from the teacher! The students found them fun and engaging, and they are short which means they take only a few minutes of class time. These are a great way to practice parts of speech, and you get a lot with this resource!” -Alison J.
✏️ “Magnificent! I love adding good quality resources to my educational toolbox!! This product is easy to use in a variety of creative ways and is reasonably priced, too. Students LOVE this activity and beg for more!!! So glad that I purchased this!!!! — Thanks!” -Teresa S.

Kristin Bolivar –
My class this year was obsessed with these! We had so much fun doing these. The stories are more age appropriate and modern than madlibs. My kids didn’t even notice that they were working on parts of speech!

We reviewed parts of speech and then did a few of these for practice. They’re a fun way to review! I did have a few that moved the boxes around, so make sure you are very clear about how to click in the text box and not move it or delete it! First week distance learning might have had a lot to do with that though! Great product!

Great resource

Loved using these mad-lib style paragraphs for ‘Wrap up’ meetings at the end of our morning summer school sessions. Kids were thinking about word choice and discussing good options together. Always loved the big reveal at the end when we read the final product. What a hoot! Love your products!
