Description
Santa needs help this holiday! He is handing over his letters to the students and letting them do the shopping. In this activity, students will do a little online shopping as they choose gifts for their friends and families. The students must spend exactly $1,000,000 and record their spending as they work. This is an engaging activity that gives your students lots of opportunities to round and subtract. This also helps build number sense as students see exactly what a million dollars will actually buy.
This is a quick and easy activity to assign to your entire class or just your fast finishers. Since it is a Google Slides product, you can use this activity along with Google Classroom for a no-prep Christmas activity!
TEACHER TIP: To complete this activity, students will need permission to visit commerce sites to take screenshots of the items they want to purchase.

Students were excited to start this especially that it was 1 000 000$. I usually use flyers to do a similiar project to this but Google Classroom option is awesome. Thanks 🙂
