Hereโs what teachers are saying:
โ๏ธ “Your task card materials are all wonderful and these multistep-story problems live up to their expectations! My students have to go back and reread the relevant parts in order to solve the questions. When they work in pairs, I notice them quoting the story lines that support their thinking and help them come up with an answer!” -Lenore S.
โ๏ธ “I have been using this with my RTI group practicing our word problems strategies, they use the recording sheet and highlight each letter with the information in the story problem to help them solve it. It has helped them understand that not all information or numbers are relevant in a problem.” -Ashley M.
โ๏ธ “These problems truly helped my children become more proficient in word problems. They are difficult but not too difficult for them to solve on their own. Great word problems to teach children to write down their steps! Thank you!” -Tanya L.

Heidi M. –
This resource led to some wonderful math conversations in my class. My students worked very hard in partners to problem solve. Lots of great team work.
Ms Bee in the Middle –
Great resource for working with word problems. Kids loved it and I loved that it was easy to prep and also able to let them listen to the word problems as needed.
Deborah F. –
These are great for reviewing word problems. The most important piece of a word problem is reading, and these problems help students read for meaning in math.
Mindy E. –
Thank you for a wonderful tool to use with my students in a K-5 resource classroom. Thank you for the audio support. It is beneficial when I am working with students below grade level.
Smiley Face Classroom –
I am always looking for my ways to help my students get more practice solving word problems. This was a great resource to do so.
Amy G. –
It’s a good resource to build upon but not great as a tool independently.
Tammy L M. –
A handy low prep resource, that my students very much enjoyed!
Ann B. –
These were absolutely fantastic to use – one card per student for a challenge to be on my WOW board for having all of their responses on that card correct! It was just enough to get them motivated and also helped them get more practice with multi-step problems – which is a problem most students have been having.
Brodie Education Consulting –
These materials were perfect for reinforcing our problem solving strategy and skills. The kids loved them and they fit into our small group rotations easily!
JESSIE G. –
I used this resource every day at the beginning of math class as a warm up. The students loved figuring out the different answers. The questions are challenging enough to really make them think and try hard, but not too difficult that they couldn’t answer them. It was also a really good resource for my inclusion kids who need extra help with word problems. Thanks for such a great and helpful resource!
