Description
Practice working with different unit fractions by composing and decomposing them!
In this activity, students are shown how music notes represent different fractional parts of the whole measure.
The students will decide where the bar line goes to indicate that the measure is full and will then show their sum of unit fractions as a number sentence.
The challenge activity encourages students to find a piece of music online that follows a different time signature.
This is a great way to integrate technology and MUSIC into your math lessons!

This was a great tool for student learning and I could easily tell what my students understood and completed.
