Paraphrasing and summarizing are both difficult skills to learn. To make matters worse, students often get them mixed up. That is why I created the PARA and SUM acronyms. Not only do they help to clarify each of the skills, but also serve as simple reminders. I hope these posters and reminder cards will help your students with these challenging skills.

Good information. Students need constant review on paraphrasing (some don’t even know what that means!) and the added pre assessment is a bonus! Thank you
