Description
These fun snowmen worksheets and Google Slides are the perfect way to introduce your students to short division. They are scaffolded to practice first with support and then introduce more difficult problems while taking away support.
The strategy for teaching multi-digit division is the new and popular “horizontal long division” technique, also known as short division. It simplifies the process by bringing the remainder over instead of bringing the digit down vertically. I have found that students learn long division much more easily using this technique!
What’s Included
- 9 scaffolded worksheets with keys (some with remainders, some without)
- Google Slides version of the same problems.
- Bonus number cards for small group instruction or games
This is a great and easy introduction to multi-digit division! Check out the preview for a closer peek!

I wish that there was a more organized place for students to show their work. The snowballs look like they could be confused to decimals. It’s cute, but the concept could be replicated without all the extras.
