Description
Spelling Practice Activities for your own word list!
Here is everything you need for a differentiated spelling program (except the words!) The bulk of this packet is made up of 42 ready-to-use spelling printables that can be used with any list. These pages can be chosen and assigned by you or you could allow students to choose which activities they would like to do – a Weekly Spelling Choices sheet is included for this. Another option is to laminate the pages and use them at centers.
Two versions of the worksheets are included in this PDF:
- 16 words
- 20 words
These activities are designed to be used with teacher or curriculum-generated weekly spelling lists. The printables and activities can be used many times throughout the year and most of them will work well with any list of spelling words.
Some of the printables cover the basics (writing sentences, dividing into syllables, prefix/suffix, alphabetical order etc.) while others require some logic or creative thinking (scrambles, codes, patterns etc.). They will work well both in class, or as homework and are sure to be a big hit with your students.

This is a great resource to go along with our spelling program. Our spelling program only provides the spelling list of words, this was an easy way to add fun activities for practice.

We used this resource for end of the year spelling review lists, and they found it to be engaging and nice to have something different than their usual worksheets. A good resource, and the only thing I would suggest is making an option for 20 words for older students.
