I used this with my EL, ECE, and MTSS students and we enjoyed it a lot. They started to feel more and more comfortable with word problems as we went through them. I do wish there was more variety in the wording of the questions. My students quickly caught on to how the question was worded and what operation that represented, but I wish there was more variety use. The students really enjoyed the ridiculousness of the topics in each question! It made it very engaging.

Fun! I’m always looking for ways to make our lessons a little more engaging or switch it up for the students and this did just that. Each year the students get so surprised and go ‘what????’ and we have lots of giggles. Love it!

I used this resource with my students who have word problem IEP goals, and they got the biggest kick out of the word problems. It was challenging for them, but in a way that allowed them to show what they know.

My students loved this resource as well did I. I had to make some adjustments with my students with disabilities. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this activity and will be storing it for next year to use.
