Text Structures Flipbook: This paper or digital resource is designed to be a companion for your readers. It can help your students understand the six types of informational (nonfiction) text structures. Each flipbook page includes a definition, an example paragraph, a question to ask yourself, and signal words to look for. In addition, a page summarizing all six of the text structures is included. To save paper, there’s a 1/2 page version available.
There are also graphic organizers that can be used with each of the text structures. Students can use these to apply what they have learned.
