My small group students LOVE to ask what words mean and how to spell them, so this is the perfect activity. When we read and discuss, we always go back and look for the clues that told us the answer. They to hunt for those clues and tell why that tells them the definition of the word. Then taking them home for flashcards too! They love something that shows well class went.
