Thinkables can be used in a variety of ways in your classroom. One possibility is to create a center with the Thinkable cards and materials for completing the activities. Students can use the included Recording Chart to keep track of which cards they have completed. Simply circle, stamp, or use a sticker to cover the number of the card that has been completed. Students do not need to complete the cards in order and can work throughout the year whenever they have extra time.
You can also use Thinkables with the Tic-Tac-Toe boards included. There are 25 different randomized question boards. You can choose 1 board and print it for each of your students, changing out the board every week or so, or you could give each student their own version. Alternatively, you could print and laminate the boards to allow them to be used over and over.
Another option is to create a Thinkables journal for students to use for their work. Display one card on the document camera for all students to complete. You may also want to allow time for students to share their answers. Journals could also be used independently.

I’ve been using these cards as a Daily Challenge with my GT students. The prompts elicit rich discussions amongst my students. I love hearing what ideas they come up with each day!
The Wandaful Classroom –
I used this resource with my gifted students and they enjoyed working with them in pairs and also independently. Students worked on this as an early finisher activity, centers, morning work, and even as a bonus activity.

I love allll the ways I can use this product and the ease of printing, cutting and laminating! This year, I rotate three a day to complete as an option during ELA Flex Time, but the possibilities are endless and I know my classes will get lots of good use out of them for years to come.
Nemia McElhany –
These are excellent to keep students actively engaged. I have a few students that are able to complete everything super fast, and these are able to keep them perfectly engaged until we are ready to move to the next activity. Thank you
Mrs Moitoza –
I was struggling with students who were completing their work early and didn’t have anything productive to do. These task cards were added to my resources for them and quickly became an easy way to engage my thriving learners with more productive activities that would help their brains grow! Thank you!

This is a great resource for early finishers. My students worked on these throughout the year. I love the writing prompts. Some of them really encouraged my students to use their imaginations as well as explain their choices. As the year progressed, their answers became more and more detailed. I also gave them time to share some of their responses in class which helped me get to know my students better.

Supply A. –
My students kept a journal of their responses and knew to go to it when they were finished with their work. Very helpful!

I used these as journal topics for my virtual students. They have really enjoyed answering them. I have also presented some of these in the classroom to open up discussions. They can really get students talking.
