Note: This set has received a few poor ratings because the buyers mistakenly believed the answer key was not correct. Equivalent fractions can be tricky sometimes. For example, on card number 2, the fraction is 4/16. The correct answer is a. 3/12 (this is often a card that is sited as being incorrect).
4/16 = 1/4 = 3/12 (3×1=3 for the numerator and 3×4=12 for the denominator). Since both parts of the fraction are being multiplied by the same number, the fraction is equivalent.
You can find the equivalent for any fraction on this site:

Common Core Standards addressed in this set:
4.NF.1. Explain why a fraction a/b is equivalent to a fraction by using visual fraction models, with attention to how the number and size of the parts differ even though the two fractions themselves are the same size. Use this principle to recognize and generate equivalent fractions.
4.NF.2. Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators, e.g., by creating common denominators or numerators, or by comparing to a benchmark fraction such as 1/2. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with symbols >, =, or
The skills are also foundational for this Common Core Standard:
5.NF.1. Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators (including mixed numbers) by replacing given fractions with equivalent fractions in such a way as to produce an equivalent sum or difference of fractions with like denominators. For example, 2/3 + 5/4 = 8/12 + 15/12 = 23/12. (In general, a/b + c/d = (ad + bc)/bd.)

I like how the task cards are available print or digital. These are great for students to practice making equivalent fractions.

This was a nice activity students in my class used as a follow -up activity in small groups. It was a little challenging when they first learned simplifying fractions, however as they got the hang of it, it became easier for them. They enjoyed it and used it again for review.

My fourth graders really enjoyed the task cards and loved that they were multiple choice. This allowed them to be more successful.

I used this resource during our temporary school closure. Fractions are always a tricky concept for students and I find task cards provide them with a fun and engaging way to review and practice.

Engaging and effective by allowing the students to apply their skills and find misconceptions or areas where they need some more reinforcement or reteaching. Love It!!
