Description
This set of 32 task cards (print or digital) is a fun way to help your students learn to pay close attention to directions. Each card features a different set of mostly multi-step directions to follow. Students use the included fun-shapes answer sheet to record their responses. The cards are a mix of higher level thinking, math, and ELA. These would be especially good for back to school, but will work anytime. Great for centers and fast-finishers!

My students loved this resource! I gave this activity for the first day of school. It was a challenge for some, but got the point across!

The Following Directions Task Cards are a fantastic resource for 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. They offer engaging activities that not only improve listening skills but also make learning fun!

This was a great way to show the students that they don’t always listen to what directions are being given. I would read the card to them twice without showing them to see what they would do. Then I would present the card and watch how they would be amazed at how much they missed by not paying attention to the directions.
Synergize Learning Resources –
another smash hit from Rachel Lynette / Minds in Bloom! (ps: they now have an unlimited monthly membership — highly recommend, as I have been pleased with every individual purchase/download from this seller so far !!)

These cards are great for targeting concepts students encounter in the classroom. Great for students in speech therapy with mild language delays.

After being out of school almost two weeks for weather in the winter, this was a great resource for reviewing and revisiting basic skills

I used these with the students I pull for IEP/Intervention services. I found them very useful and will use them again next year.

This is one of my favorite ‘following directions’ activities! My students were challenged (and at times frustrated, but in a good way since the whole point was to show them they are not always following directions). I definitely recommend this product!
