- CCSS4.NF.B.3 – Understand a fraction / with > 1 as a sum of fractions 1/.
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills TEKS:
- 3.3C – Explain that the unit fraction 1/b represents the quantity formed by one part of a whole that has been partitioned into b equal parts where b is a non-zero whole number.
- 4.3A – Represent a fraction a/b as a sum of fractions 1/b, where a and b are whole numbers and b > 0, including when a > b.

Boom cards are a saving grace during online learning. I also love these for stations if you have the technology available. Stations should be self checking in my opinion so that students know they are on the right path without waiting for teacher feedback.
