Description
***Easel Assessment (only available if you purchase on TPT) digital version (self-checking)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A student Answer Sheet is included, as well as an Answer Key so that students can check their work. You will also find a Cover Card, and a Challenge Card that can be used together with any other card in the set to extend the activity. The multiple-choice format makes these cards ideal for test prep. These task cards will work well at an ELA center, for stations, for partner work, or with the whole class using a game like Scoot.
Print this set out in color. For black and white printing, please use the included blackline version. If you are printing in black and white, consider printing on colored paper. Simply print and cut along the guidelines. Laminate and use them again and again. Alternatively, you could print on cardstock. It works well to keep them in a baggie. Another option is to hole-punch a corner of each card and put them all on a ring.
Great resource to practice quotations. Thank you!
I liked the level of difficulty, but I am disappointed that the answers on several cards are incorrect after many users complained about it. Incorrect answers on cards: 8. C Did she say, ‘We’ll leave at 3:15.’? In fact, all the choices on card 8 are wrong. 23. Did she just say, ‘I love beets.’?
Dialogue is tough for students, so I love practicing in multiple ways. These task cards were perfect. Plus, Rachel seriously makes the BEST task cards. You won’t be disappointed.
Tessa Schulte –
This was challenging for my students and was a good teaching resource for them to use commas and quotation marks to mark direct speech and quotations from a text.
Students worked in pairs to review quotation marks in dialogue. It was nice that it included a google slide, because it made it very is to assigned it my students through google classroom. The only thing I would wish is that it also included a google quiz in case you wanted an easy way to grade this assignment and get data.
