A fun way to fill in time when there is only a few minutes. Can also be used to introduce persuasive speaking. Group students by their choices and have them try to persuade the other group to change their minds. Interesting to hear student rationale and reasons to agree with them. The rigor is flexible according to the group of students.

I loved using this with my 4th graders as an intro to opinion writing and as a daily journal prompt during our opinion writing unit to practice the skills we were using! Especially helpful for students who have a hard time answering open-ended opinion questions because it gives two choices to choose between!

My students used this resource for a fun paper activity after state testing. They were engaged and had a lot of fun doing something that wasn’t academic. After testing, they couldn’t wait to tell me their choices and life experiences that went along with their choice.

I started using this resource when my school had a four day in person week, but students were supposed to do remote work on Fridays. I started using these in my Friday meetings and on a discussion page, and the amount of attendance and work I had improved. They loved these questions. I am definitely going to use them again this year even though we are all back in person all of the time ?.

These were a great end of the year activity. Got my students up and moving as they chose their option and also used a few as writing prompts.
Tenille Bill –
This was an excellent activity for end of the year! I had my students choose 1 slide and write an argumentative essay defending their choice.

I used this with my students on the last day of school. They really enjoyed it a lot and it was a fun way to end the school year.

My class loved doing this the last few days of school! Engaging and fun to celebrate the EOY. Thank you!

This was so much fun to do as a whole group activity for EOY awards day!!! Kids and parents loved it!

My students really enjoyed this game! I used it as a ‘stand up, sit down’ activity. They were super engaged and wanted to do more! Thank you!
