Each of these 18 half-page cards features a story with a lot of information and numbers. There are also four problems for each story. Students must read carefully to successfully select the information they need to solve each problem. All of these problems require more than one step to solve and most require several steps. In addition to basic operations, money, elapsed time, fractions, and finding averages are also included.

I loved these! I used this set in tutoring for a student who struggles in math concepts and is a highly visual learner. By printing them out we could highlight using color to assist him in determining what they were asking. Just another phenomenal resource by Rachel Lynette!!! Seriously when new teachers ask me my tricks, you are my go to! I tell them anything by this author is going to be quality and worth it, but always start with her task cards. We go over the million ways to use them! – small group -whole class -individual intervention or extension -hide and seek -daily warm up -short assessment quiz with multiple opportunities -Scoot (you tape one to each desk in the room and the kids get 1 min to answer then they ‘Scoot’ to the next seat. Great fun and movement activity! -Bonus point -Assessment for standards-based grading -tutoring -line activitiy

Great Source and challenging. But I had to screen shot each page and put in google classroom and the kids that chose remote all year had to type answers and email it to me. Is there a way to put this in goggle classroom where they can type the answers on it. I did load it in there at first but then I couldn’t type the answers on it. Although I see the student view now and if they hit on that will that let them type the answers in? Please let me know. Thanks!

I make up games using these cards to reinforce word problems. My only regret is using these task cards at the end of the year instead of at the beginning of the year.
