Description
This Author’s Purpose PowerPoint consists of 24 animated slides, each with a paragraph for students to use while determining whether the author was trying to persuade, inform, or entertain. Each slide also includes the answer, which is revealed with a click.
This would be a great activity to use with the whole class. Students can answer verbally, on individual white boards, with sign language (P,I, E), or on notebook paper. It could also be used with individuals at a computer.
Please note that this PowerPoint is in Show format (Present Mode) and cannot be edited. The animation is the same on every slide in the show.
IMPORTANT:
The stories on the slide were taken directly from my
Author’s Purpose Task Cards so if you have those cards, the content will be the same.
