I have these on my SMARTBoard in my classroom when the kids enter. This gives my ‘early arriving’ students something to do and the rest of the kids, it gives them a reason to get to my room. They have a slip of paper to write the answer on (or best guess) and drop it in the drawing bucket. When the bell rings, the bucket goes away. So, it gives kids a desire to get to class on time. I also love it because it gets them thinking about about words in a different way. It taps into a different way of thinking.

My students used this product as a whole group activity for my 5th graders answering on whiteboards. We first did this as whole group so they would understand how to answer the cards. Now that they understand what to do, I have these task cards as early finishers activity. I even used these for when a sub was in…I just put them in a Google Slide, one per slide, and had the students answer as many as they could. They loved them! Thank you!
