โ๏ธ “I printed these cards off on card stock, laminated them, and put them on binder rings. Anytime I am absent, or need a quick lesson, I just have the scholars work on them in pairs. It is a super easy, super quick lesson and the scholars love.” -Sarah S.
โ๏ธ “Love this product! It allowed students to practice figurative language with writing. I like that each type of figurative language had multiple cards with different instructions. I also liked that the cards included the definitions. I would definitely use these cards again.” -Imani V.

No Fluff Just Good Stuff –
A colleague had to leave unexpectedly and did not have time to plan other than to tell me what they were working on. Since we each work with the same group of kids and I use task cards regularly in math and science, I thought these would be helpful for a sub. It was perfect! They each had their own card, they traded, and everyone had some additional practice on figurative language. Saved the day.

I really like these task cards and the questions on them were just what I needed.

Used this resource during distance learning. My son found it interesting and helped maintain his learned knowledge on the topic.

I’m using this resource as a warm up for my ESL students as we learn figurative language, and I like the variety of topics it offers! It’s a great way for students to practice skills they’ve already learned!
Cory P. –
I used this resource with a student who struggled to understand figurative language. This was a helpful resource to work with students and help them grasp the concept and understanding.
Ericka K. –
I use this as a bell ringer for my middle school students-I was hoping it would be more of a review but instead students are asked to come up with examples on their own, which was difficult for my students. Overall, good resource but know it requires students to have a really solid background on figurative language to complete independently.

I really like having the option to use the task cards or using the online easel option. My students liked using the online activity. I appreciate having the ability to edit the material to make it suit my students’ needs.

Used ads a quick review for students and they enjoyed it while I could see their progress to see if it needed to be retaught.
