Description
Use these 3 sets of multiple choice task cards to reinforce common homophones. Each set contains 32 cards, so you get 96 cards altogether. Within each set, each of the homophone pairs appear on two cards. For example, in Set 1 for Card #1, the answer is “piece” and on Card #17, the answer is “peace.” Not only will this help to solidify the words, it may also help some students to self-correct as they work.
Please see the product links below or in the free preview for more information.
These cards are also available in digital, interactive, Boom Cards. Find them here!
Student answer sheets are included along with answer keys for self-checking. There is also a Challenge Card that can be used in conjunction with any other card to extend the activity. This card requires students to write a sentence that uses both homophones on the card. These task cards are perfect for test prep and will work well at literacy centers, stations, for partner work, or with the whole class using a game like Scoot.
Happy Teaching!

My students love this resource! I’m a dual language teacher and they greatly benefit from the visuals and the audio. The audio is very clear, allowing the kids to blend each sound accurately.

Perfect addition to my LA. The kids loved working with the task cards. They especially enjoyed the Scoot I set up. Thanks.

This is a great resource, but probably a little young for 5th grade. My kids blew through it easily, which was a good thing because it was a great tool to assess what they already knew. I do love that you can easily make this a roam around the room and work activity and get kids working together. I would definitely recommend this for 3rd or 4th grade! Nicely put together and easy to keep organized.

I used this for end of the year review and independent practice. Students helped each other remember what they have learned and enjoyed the ease of use.
