This bundle includes this resource:
- Figurative Language Worksheets
NOTE: This resource uses American English and is not editable.
Pattern poems are a great way to provide structure but still allow for plenty of creativity. While learning these patterns, your students will also be practicing syllables, parts of speech, and figurative language.
Perfect for National Poetry Month or use all year long – at a poetry center, as homework, with a sub, or anytime you need an open-ended, creative activity. Another idea is to use the patterns to write about a science or social studies content area, or perhaps about a book students are reading. Also great for holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day.

Great online resource for students! Creative way for them to fall in love with poetry and writing poems. It was easy to follow, any level of students can follow along and enjoy becoming poets.

For whatever reason, students are never excited to learn poetry! This bundle made it so easy and saved me so much time searching out examples. Kept things short and concise and students really engaged!

This resource was great for my kiddos. They were very engaged and did great work with it! I was very satisfied with this purchase and want to continue using for years to come! I was able to use this for both whole group and small group instruction. It would also be fine for individual work as well.

I absolutely love this resource. All of the forms of poetry are explained in simple terms and the practice slides are scaffolded. My student’s who shy away from writing can’t wait until it’s time for poetry writing. What a fantastic resource. Thanks!

This was brilliant. I would rate it higher if I Could. Provided a few weeks of work for a poetry unit. Loved the scaffolds. It was so successful due to the way it was perfectly set up. So, so good! Thank-you so much!
