Teacher Tip

Here’s what teachers are saying:

✏️ “We have so much fun with these! They are great for practicing fluency with varying expression. The cards that feature conversation are awesome to use with pairs of students, but they also have fun using different voices for each part. We use these in small groups and also have been recording the reads in Seesaw.” -Barbara R.

✏️ “These are great for practicing prosody. We use them as a sort of game where the child has to choose an emotion that’s appropriate to the story on the card and then read the card using that kind of emotion. The partner (or teacher) then has to guess which emotion (using emoji cards) the student was trying to convey. The kids enjoy it.” -Faye R.

✏️ “I used this as a way for parent volunteers to practice reading fluency skills with students one-on-one…just what I needed. Thank you!” -Kelly H.

These were quick practices in fluency for the students. We started each day in September using them and they enjoyed the variety of topics that were included.

  2. Mrs McCabe Made

A perfect resource for supporting students with reading fluently, specifically reading dialogue.

  3. Carolynn Laurich

My students loved this resource for their morning work! They were engaged in the resource and had no trouble getting started. It didn’t take much time to prepare this resource, so it was easy for me to use in a time crunch. Students really enjoyed being able to navigate this resource independently, and seemed to be more confident in this specific set of skills after utilizing this resource. I also utilize this resource as spiral practice, so that these skills are constantly relevant and being utilized in their everyday writing and reading. I would certainly recommend this product!

  4. Kerry T.

The students loved the frogs and the reading content. Just looked a bit crowded to me but the students weren’t worried. Thanks

  5. Brand New Day

These were great for fluency on SeeSaw. I put one card per SeeSaw page and had the kids record their reading. Perfect!
