NOTE: This resource uses American English and is not editable.

Paraphrasing and summarizing are both difficult skills to learn. To make matters worse, students often get them mixed up. That is why I created the PARA and SUM acronyms. Not only do they help to clarify each of the skills, but also serve as simple reminders. I hope these posters and reminder cards will help your students with these challenging skills.

I needed a quick review that did not involve a lot of prep work. I also liked how this gave me materials that I could post in my classroom and give as reference points for my students.
