Description
This resource will help your students work through the revision and editing process. While it’s created with expository, opinion, or informational writing in mind, there is an editable version included so that you can make this resource exactly what your students need!
How does this resource work?
Students are given a set of instructions to work through as they revise and edit. They use crayons to show that they’ve worked through each step. After they have completed the steps, they are ready to conference with the teacher. Because students are using different colors and symbols to show evidence of their revising and editing, you can quickly see the work your students have done!
What’s Included?
- Editing & Revising Posters
- Student Check List
- Student Check List Bookmarks
- Teacher Conference Sign-up Sheet
- 2 Google Slides Digital Versions (Regular and Do It Yourself)
โ๏ธ “As a first year teacher this resource was a lifesaver! It is exactly what both my students and I need to scaffold the revision and editing process during our opinion unit. I loved that we could both look at their rough draft and see what was missing from their writing. I will be using this resource for every writing unit from now on!” -Amber
This is a must for your writing workshop!

This resource is a really helpful reminder for students when editing their work. Practical and user friendly. Students were able to use the information on the check lists to make improvements. Great resource.

Although my students are younger than the recommended, I was able to adapt this resource to their needs. Furthermore, the color-coded component is very helpful
