According to Duke University Professor, Harris Cooper, students’ academics are affected by the summer holiday. He poses that at best, students make little to no academic gains, and at worse, students lose 2-3 months of learning. He also found that summer loss was greatest in math, especially math computation.
Give your students the tools they will need to enter 5th grade with confidence! Each page boasts many math problems that are sure to keep your students sharp! Don’t let what they worked so hard to learn in 4th grade disappear!

We used this for summer school. We sent it home to be completed before school starts. We will see how that went.
Whitney S. –
I loved this! I used this with many of my tutoring kiddos- It was a comprehensive spiral review, and many of my families said that their students felt very prepared for the upcoming school year.
Hannah Riehl –
This resource was great for practice to send home for over the summer.

I gave this to my students and I used it with my own kiddo! It was perfect for reviewing over the summer. I can already tell with my own child that there was less of a ‘summer slack’ then in previous years!
Life in Prism –
The variety of math concepts covered is good and grade appropriate. I do wish there was more space to work or write answers.
The Chaotic Good Educator –
My grade level partner teacher and I used this as a ‘What to Know to be Successful in 5th Grade Math’ packet. When we met the upcoming 5th graders last year for this year, we sent this packet home in their last report card with a note that students who complete the packet will get a surprise if they turn it in to their new 5th grade teacher. We are hoping it helps with the ‘summer fall-out’ and communicates to parents what students need to work on skill wise to be better prepared for 5th grade as we build on the 4th grade skills. Great product, 10/10 recommend!
