According to Duke University Professor, Harris Cooper, students’ academics are affected by the summer holiday. He poses that at best, students make little to no academic gains, and at worse, students lose 2-3 months of learning. He also found that summer loss was greatest in math, especially math computation.
Give your students the tools they will need to enter 5th grade with confidence! Each page boasts many math problems that are sure to keep your students sharp! Don’t let what they worked so hard to learn in 4th grade disappear!

Used this summer to keep my 4th grader practicing skills before 5th grade. She loved it! She would work through it alone and check her own answers with the answer key provided. She said she liked having the answer key becasue if she got something wrong , but saw the right answer she could then figure out what she did wrong.

I used this as a review for my kids so that we were able to spiral back on past concepts learned in the spring. I am thinking of using it more often over the next year.

It was the last few days of school so they really enjoyed it

This was really helpful during the summer to keep up my daughter’s learning and reinforce the parts of math she had trouble with. Thanks so much!

I gave this to my struggling outgoing 5th graders to work on over the summer. I knew with them not being at grade level, they would need a refresher of 4th grade skills. This resource did just that. Thank you!

This was great to send out to student as a review prior to entering 6th grade next year. Thank you for sharing your work!

My kiddos were excited to have some extra practice for the summer break.

This turned out to be a little too hard for my special education students but I love the layout and the spiral review is great. I am holding on to it in the hopes my students gain the skills they need to work on this.

Printed and gave to my students to practice throughout the summer. Added a prize for anyone that brought it to me next year!
