Description

Use these 32 short passage cards to practice inferring character traits. The short answer format is both challenging and somewhat open-ended. While a sample answer key is included, students may come up with synonymous words that will work equally well. Any answer that the student can justify using the text is acceptable. An answer sheet is also included for the first question on each card. Students can answer the second question on notebook paper, or you could use the second part for discussion. These task will work well for reading strategy centers, stations, or for partner work.
