Here’s what teachers are saying:
✏️ “These have been great for inferencing practice! I have laminated these cards. I’ve been able to use these as a simple game. Each student picks a card and after reading/answering they reveal their “points”, which is the number on the card. They love it!” -Debbie B.
✏️ “I use these for my speech sessions often. Love any of Rachel’s task cards, they are great. These are awesome informational passages too instead of of the usual fiction ones. Highly suggest for kids with inferencing/abstract reasoning goals!” -Maria R.
✏️ “Highly suggest laminating these cards because I used them over and over and over again with my students working on inferencing! I love how it’s a digital activity too now!” -Sara T.

I always need more inference practice with short paragraphs. These task cards are great!
Jennifer Malec –
This is such a valuable resource! I have my students use these during centers and they are engaged the entire time. The task cards allow for the students to use critical thinking skills to develop an answer. The difficulty level is enough for the students to be challenged yet feel successful. I will use these again!

I used this for tutoring a 3rd grader while working on inferences. Was a super helpful tool to help build the skill and get his brain thinking beyond the literal words of texts.

I LOVE the audio attachment to task cards. This is a GREAT independent activity after a minilesson on inferences, or an extension activity for fast finishers. It’s so helpful to have resources that can read to students so students have more autonomy to complete their work without the help of a teacher. Which frees me up to run small groups or assist in other ways.
